Echappements inox Simons Sport - Quel niveau sonore ?

Merci de l'info avec ta V40 tosor, mais comme je le disais plus haut, j'ai fait mon choix. Pas de ligne sport sur ma voiture, c'est pas fait pour moi.
Juste pour info, je vous mets la suite de mon échange par mail avec le type de chez Simons, qui ne fait que confirmer mon choix personnel.

I understand your point. I am however a bit disappointed for not being able to get an idea, even vague, of what level of sound power the exhaust system may deliver.
You may be of help anyway if you'd like. You claim that at Simons you focus on big petrol engines. Then could it be that you'd have any sound data for the T5 engine from Volvo? Or for any other big and powerful 5-cylinder engine from Volvo being equipped with your 02B-H1R system? I would just need to know how much dBs are output at the engine speed of 3,000 rpm. I could then compare with the value specified for my car as the legal limit (that is 82 dB). With a bit of luck, this would be okay, who knows?
I think that would help me a lot in my purchasing decision.

Hello,

The biggest problem is that you have a diesel engine. I could give you an hint about the soundlevel for the T5 but this measurements are made with sample silencers wich are handmade and not 100% as the ones we produce and sell. This gives you an double disadvantage in this case. I´m sorry, but trying to give you an hint might end up in disaster for you. If you do not have an praticulate filter I believe that the sound will be higher than 82 dB.

Où l'on apprend au passage que des essais sont menés sur des prototypes faits main (ça c'est normal) et apparemment pas sur le produit de série (ça ça l'est un peu moins)...
